I've stayed on the Big Island of Hawaii by the rustling palm trees

White sandy beaches, Sunsets and Sunrises,

The curling Mauna Kea mountain reaching up blue in the distance

Maui Peeking blue and lavender above the horizon

I love to travel, but stopped in my tracks when I found the Big Island of Hawaii.

Spacious with a friendly small town atmosphere and people who love the outdoors and the earth. Places to hike and swim and live a healthy life. Where the warm sunshine caresses your skin 12 months a year, instead of the 3 months where I grew up in Alaska. I doubt anyone appreciates getting into a hot car sitting in the sun the way an Alaskan does.
